The switched reluctance motor (SRM) is a promising candidate for electric propulsion systems. In the design process of an SRM, geometry needs to be determined. Using finite element method (FEM) might time-consuming sizing geometry. As alternative, electromagnetic models based on magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) can utilized SRM. MEC require fewer computational resources and help determine performance with reasonable accuracy. conventional SRM challenging since flux pattern inside should changed different dimensions. order address this challenge, paper applies mesh-based technique three-phase 12/16 high-lift in NASA Maxwell X-57 aircraft. A comprehensive model developed purpose. Both static dynamic characteristics are evaluated using method. determined verified results computed from FEM.
